Beta Aurigae is near Starbase 2, Camus II and Benecia

Beta Aurigea is also known as Menkalinan Arabic fir "Shoulder of the Rein-holder," It is a Slight Variable 2ed-Magnitude star, Spectral Type A2 IV, 72ly. It is an eclipsing Binary Star, which causes the variation in brightness.

In EE35 the USS Enterprise Came to this system for a gravitational study of this binary system. She was also Scheduled to Rendezvous with the Potemkin in this system.
